When Nacho Mama's, a legendary Baltimore institution, needed to update their extremely outdated website they came to Propr for a full service solution. Mama's old site had very little SEO value and pre-dated any of the current web design best practices. So we scheduled demo and blew the thing up.

Some of the challenges we faced were redesigning the Mama's logo from an old hand drawn low resolution illustration, integrating with WooCommerce for online sales, ensuring the site could expand as they added new locations, and integrating of online ordering and making it work with their POS system.

We designed a mobile first website because we knew most of their visitors were coming from mobile, including the potential for online orders. We focused on the primary conversion of online ordering, making it super intuitive to order delicious tacos from your phone. We also ensure the UI matched the classic "Bawlmor" kitsch the restaurant is known for.

With the increase in accessibility from a fully responsive website, the ease in maintaining and updating, the added traffic and search ranking, and most of all the online ordering and gift card transactions, the project paid for itself in about 6 months. Mama's even took our logo redesign and made an awesome neon sign for their newswest location.
